Dr. Lenger will walk you through your doctor’s plan of action and will act as the liaison between you and your medical team to ensure clarity and assist with your overwhelming fears and concerns. Unfortunately, healthcare providers speak a different language which is often times confusing to lay-people, and they may not have the time and resources to explain things to the extent that a patient and family will understand.
MPC is not there to replace or second guess the doctor or other healthcare providers. MPC will, in fact, facilitate and enhance the patient-doctor relationship. If necessary, MPC can act as a conduit for both the healthcare provider/physician and the patient and their family to maximize time and efficiency. The more a patient is educated about their illness and their diagnostic and treatment plan, the less fearful and ultimately more compliant they will be.
To this end, MPC can travel to where a patient resides. For a patient with family members who live a long distance away, MPC can offer clear and concise explanations regarding a patient’s care. This can be done in person, by phone or teleconference. For patients with several residences, MPC can enhance the continuity of care.
